The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) has rescheduled the hearing to consider Peoples Gas System, Inc.’s (PGS) petition for a rate increase due to the expected impacts of Tropical Storm Idalia. Originally scheduled to begin tomorrow, August 29, the hearing will now begin on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 12.
PGS—a subsidiary of TECO Gas Operations, Inc.—is a natural gas local distribution company serving approximately 470,000 customers in 39 counties. As part of the ratemaking process, the Commission conducted four virtual and two in-person service hearings in June and July to allow feedback from customers about PGS’s quality of service and rate increase request.
PGS’s rate case hearing is scheduled to begin at the following time and location:

September 13–15 are reserved for continuation of the hearing, if needed. The starting time of the next day’s session will be announced at the conclusion of the prior day’s hearing.
