State Representative Yvonne Hayes Hinson (D-Gainesville) will participate in a Town Hall Panel Discussion on the state of education in Florida along with Alachua County School Board Member, Diyonne McGraw, Principal of Caring & Sharing Learning School, Curtis Peterson, FAMU Professor, Dr. Monekka Munroe, Co-Founder of Education Equalizer Foundation, Dr. Carjie Scott, and the President of Alachua Co. FAMU NAA, Boderick Johnson.
This town hall will provide the community with insight into the current state of education for students in Florida. With expert panelists in government, business, and kindergarten – college education, attendees can have the opportunity to ask questions about the recent changes to African American History Course curriculum, the status of AP College Credit Classes, the sustainability of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs, and much more.
This Town Hall is presented by Alachua County FAMU NAA and the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs.
