Following the Commission Conference and Internal Affairs meeting, the Commission will hold its annual Ten-Year Site Plan Workshop. Each IOU must submit a Plan that estimates power generating needs and proposed plant sites over a 10-year planning horizon. The PSC must classify each Plan as “suitable” or “unsuitable.”
Following the workshop, the Commission will hold a hearing to address the Storm Protection Plan Cost Recovery Clause petitions for Duke Energy Florida, LLC; Florida Power & Light Company; Florida Public Utilities Company, and Tampa Electric Company.
The PSC will then begin a hearing to consider Peoples Gas System, Inc.’s (PGS) petition for a rate increase. Originally scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 29, the PGS hearing was rescheduled due to Hurricane Idalia. The hearing continuation, if necessary, is scheduled for September 13-15.
A live broadcast of the Commission Conference and hearing will be available on the PSC’s website (click “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events” on our homepage) and may be broadcast on the Florida Channel (check your local listing).
