Governor Ron DeSantis today announces one judicial appointment to the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court.
Brad King, of Ocala, to serve as Judge on the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court
King served as the State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit from 1989 to 2020. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and his juris doctor from the University of Florida. King fills the judicial vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Richard Singeltary.

Florida International University Board of Trustees
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Yaffa Popack to the Florida International University Board of Trustees.

Popack, of Miami Beach, is the Co-Owner of YMP Real Estate Management. Active in her community, she is the Co-Founder of Neighborhood Farms USA and a member of the Touro University Board of Governors and the YMP Family Foundation. Popack earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and her juris doctor from Yeshiva University.
This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

to the Central Florida Expressway Authority
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Joe Nunziata to the Central Florida Expressway Authority.

Nunziata is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of FBC Mortgage, LLC. Active in his community, he serves on the boards of the FBC Mortgage Charitable Foundation, the Seminole and Orange County Sheriff Foundations, and the Advent Hospital Foundation. Nunziata was named the 2015 “Executive of the Year” by the Orlando Business Journal. Earning his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of South Florida, Nunziata was the recipient of the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award in 2017.
