The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) today arrested Harrison Edward Longchamps, 18, of Clermont, on ten counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began after the FDLE Cybercrime Task Force in Orlando received three different tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Upon further investigation, an address was positively identified as Longchamps’ residence.
On September 19, agents presented Longchamps a search warrant for his residence. During the on-scene investigation, agents found images depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as 8 years old. Agents seized multiple electronic devices for further examination.
Longchamps was booked into the Lake County Jail yesterday with no bond. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Fifth Judicial Circuit.
