The federal redistricting trial today continued with Leader Fentrice Driskell (D-Tampa) called to the witness stand. The following is the Leader’s statement.
“I was honored to have an opportunity to give my testimony on behalf of my Caucus and share what we experienced during the last redistricting process,” said Leader Driskell. “I have the utmost confidence in our judicial system and I sincerely hope the Court sees the insidious scheme perpetrated by the Governor in suppressing voters’ voices by eliminating Black congressional districts, as well as setting the framework for a conservative legal challenge to the VRA.”
