State Representative Jervonte Edmonds (D-West Palm Beach) of Florida today condemned the tragedy in Israel, where over 100 people have been killed in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Representative Edmonds issued the following statement.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of innocent life in Israel. This violence is unacceptable and must end. I stand with the people of Israel and condemn the actions of Hamas, which continues to launch rocket attacks on civilian targets.
“I am calling on the international community to pressure Hamas to stop its attacks and to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this violence and their families. I urge the international community to do everything it can to end this conflict and bring peace to the region.”
