Posted on October 12, 2023

The Florida Lottery (Lottery) today announces that Kenneth Conklin, 51, of Chipley, claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $664,198.00.

Kenneth Conklin poses with an oversized check after claiming a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Conklin is the first to win one of the 18 available $1 million prizes in the Lottery’s new $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH Scratch-Off game, which launched in September.

Conklin purchased his winning ticket from Tom Thumb, located at 1034 Main Street in Chipley. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $20 Scratch-Off game, $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH, offers players three ways to play and three ways to win and features more than $447 million in total cash prizes including 26 prizes from $1 million to $5 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.85.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 72 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2022-2023. Since inception, Scratch-Off games have generated more than $18.09 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
