HCA Florida Capital Hospital, a part of HCA Florida Healthcare, has appointed Nichole Urban, as Associate Chief Nursing Officer. Urban will provide executive leadership for nursing initiatives.
“I look forward to being part of the HCA Florida Capital Hospital team, working collaboratively with the staff to meet the needs of our patients and becoming actively involved in the community,” said Urban. “HCA Florida Capital Hospital is expanding healthcare services and continues to be a community healthcare partner in Tallahassee and the surrounding communities.”
Nichole is from Denver, CO and played Division I Softball at the University of Georgia. She began her career with HCA Healthcare at Swedish Medical Center on the neuro/telemetry unit in 2011. Nichole then transitioned to Riverside Community Hospital as the Medical ICU Manager and completed the HCA Director Development Program and was promoted to Critical Care Director.
While at Riverside, Urban was instrumental in developing and growing the critical care service line. She improved the culture and care of patients in critical care through her collaboration with physicians, staff and ancillary leaders. Her leadership and teamwork led to decreased staff turnover, ventilator days, length of stay, improved employee engagement and overall quality of care for patients.
“Nichole will be an outstanding addition to our administrative team,” said Tara Beth Anderson, Chief Nursing Officer at HCA Florida Capital Hospital.
“We are confident in her ability to provide leadership to our nursing colleagues and enhance the overall quality of care that we provide.”
