Upcoming Public Meeting for I-75 Improvements

Posted on December 1, 2023

Meeting will be offered in multiple platforms

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a series of public meetings on Monday, December 11, Wednesday, December 13, and Thursday, December 14, 2023 regarding the improvements to Interstate 75 (I-75) from south of State Road (S.R.) 44 in Sumter County to S.R. 326 in Marion County. Two Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies are being conducted for I-75 from south of S.R. 44 to S.R. 200 (FPID: 452074-2) and from S.R. 200 to S.R. 326 (FPID: 452074-1). The proposed improvements to I-75 include the addition of auxiliary lanes between interchanges and modifications to several interchanges including S.R. 326 and S.R. 40. The purpose of these improvements is to reduce congestion and improve reliability on I-75. The Moving Florida Forward Infrastructure Initiative (fdot.gov/movingfloridaforward) allowed FDOT to advance the much needed I-75 improvements, with construction anticipated to begin in spring 2025.
