The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) today arrested Yasmany Mitchell Jarp, 30, of Clermont, on 11 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began after the FDLE Cybercrime Task Force in Orlando received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Upon further investigation, an address was positively identified as Jarp’s residence.
On January 25, agents served a search warrant for Jarp’s residence. During the on-scene investigation, agents found images depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as infants. Agents seized multiple electronic devices for further examination.
Jarp was booked into the Lake County Jail yesterday without bond. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Fifth Judicial Circuit.
