Last week, State Representative Susan L. Valdés (D-Tampa) was appointed to the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL) Executive Committee representing the South Region for the 2024-2025 term.
Part of Representative Valdés’ duties as a South Region representative on the NHCSL Executive Committee will include setting policy and organizational agenda, advocating on behalf of Hispanic communities, and collaborating with other NHCSL partners and stakeholders.
“I am incredibly honored to be appointed to the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators Executive Committee. Thank you to NHSCL President, Representative Angela Romero (D-Utah), for this appointment,” said Representative Valdés. “I embrace the challenge ahead with open arms. This opportunity to represent my people fills me with such gratitude. I look forward to working with the South Region Chair, Senator Jason Esteves (D-Georgia), to empower the Hispanic community in the South.”
