Secretary Byrd Invites Floridians to Share Their Input on Museum of Florida History

Posted on March 12, 2024

Secretary of State Cord Byrd invites the public to share their input and ideas on new exhibits and visitor experiences at the Museum of Florida History.

“The Museum of Florida History’s temporary closure, as part of ongoing renovations at the R.A. Gray Building, provides the Department with the opportunity to explore new ideas, exhibits, and areas of focus,” said Secretary of State Cord Byrd. “As Florida’s official state history museum, we welcome input from our citizens on the future of your Museum of Florida History.”

Interested members of the public are invited to complete an online survey to share their input and ideas. Results from the survey will be used to help shape plans for the Museum of Florida History.

“We’re excited to have this opportunity to hear from the public as we reimagine the Museum,” said Lisa Barton, Director of the Museum of Florida History and Chief of Department of State Historical Museums. “We hope our visitors will take the time to fill out the survey, share their thoughts, and participate in shaping the future of the Museum.”

The public survey is available online through April 30, 2024.

While the Museum of Florida History remains closed during construction on the R.A. Gray Building, you can learn more about upcoming public programs and outreach opportunities on its website: https://MuseumofFloridaHistory.com/.

The survey can also be accessed via QR code.
