The Hallandale Beach Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced the remains found last week in Miami Gardens are those of Lynda Meier. The 40-year-old went missing on June 4, 2010, when she failed to pick up her mother for a doctor’s appointment. Investigators say her death was a homicide. Crime continues to fall across Florida according to the 2018 Semi-Annual Uniform Crime Report.
