CFO Jimmy Patronis Tours Franklin County Fire Damage

Posted on June 25, 2018

Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis joined Franklin County Sheriff AJ “Tony” Smith, local emergency management officials and first responders to survey damage caused by the fire that ravaged the area since Sunday. CFO and State Fire Marshal Patronis also helped American Red Cross volunteers prepare meals for displaced families.

CFO and State Fire Marshal Patronis directed his Division of Consumer Services to send staff to the impacted area to assist residents with navigating the insurance claims-filing process. Insurance experts will be on scene starting tomorrow, June 26, until all residents in the area have been assisted. He has also directed his Division of State Fire Marshal to assist local authorities with structural recovery efforts. Consumers can call CFO Patronis’ Insurance Consumer Helpline at 1-877-MY-FL-CFO (1-877-693-5236) for assistance.
