“For far too long there have been questions about the amount of influence that the NRA has had over the Republican Party. With Sunday’s arrest of a Russian agent, there are even more questions that need to be answered about the role that the NRA has played in our elections and the role that money in politics has played in corrupting the Republican Party. Whether it’s the Justice Department, the FBI or Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation, light needs to be shed on the NRA’s funders, role, and influence.”
