Motorists traveling westbound on State Road (S.R.) 200 (Southwest College Road) heading to northbound Interstate 75 (I-75) should be aware that the on ramp will be closed nightly beginning Sunday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 18 from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; weather permitting.
The posted detour will direct motorists to continue westbound on S.R. 200 to northbound Southwest 60th Avenue to eastbound S.R. 40 to I-75. Drivers that usually access northbound I-75 from westbound S.R. 200 may also want to consider diverting to S.R. 40 or U.S. 27 early in their travels.
Drivers on eastbound S.R. 200 heading to northbound I-75 will be unaffected.
The work is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) project to widen and add lanes to the I-75 ramps and S.R. 200. The closure of the on ramp is necessary to ensure safety of construction workers and motorists for the installation of new, larger stormwater pipes.
Please note that work schedules may change. Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to safely direct motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists around the work areas. Drivers are asked to pay attention and use caution when traveling through a construction zone.
