MEDIA ADVISORY
Attorney General Ashley Moody To Address Florida Behavioral Health Conference
The annual Florida Behavioral Health Conference kicks off on Wednesday, August 21 at 9:15 a.m. in Orlando with the launch of the newly formed Florida Behavioral Health Association (FBHA), which is a consolidation of two long-standing, respected organizations, the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association and the Florida Council for Community Mental Health.
This year’s conference theme is “Just One,” which reflects the consolidation of these organizations and recognizes that healing and recovery happen ONE life at a time, and each life affected is worth celebrating. This event has grown into the largest behavioral health conference in the Southeast and attracts more than 1,400 people.
Conference attendees will be joined by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody on August 21. AG Moody has been committed to fighting Florida’s opioid crisis, strengthening school safety measures, and addressing mental health challenges.
The Florida Behavioral Health Conference will conclude on Friday, August 23.
