As confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Florida, Senator Jason Pizzo announced today two new community testing locations, in partnership with CDR Maguire: Disaster Health and Medical and Hampton Art Lovers. The sites will offer free walk-up testing to residents 18 and older. No appointments are needed to be tested. Masks must be worn at the sites and social distancing guidelines will be observed. Tests are limited to 500 per day and will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.
“COVID-19 is threatening my community and it is my responsibility and my honor to be part of the solution.” Senator Pizzo said. “I am hopeful that hard work and local support like this will help Miami get the help it deserves in fighting this disease and its economic repercussions.”
Today, over 800,000 cases have been diagnosed and 17,000 Floridians have died from COVID-19. Miami-Dade County, alone, has contributed more than 185,000 cases and over 3,600 of those deaths.
