Leading Florida public relations firm produced city services-focused series
After six months of planning, preparing, and producing, Sachs Media is proud to share in last week’s launch of a new PSA campaign for the Florida League of Cities (FLC). Since last summer Sachs Media, Florida’s foremost public relations firm, has collaborated with the voice of over 400 Sunshine State municipalities to highlight and celebrate the many services provided to help enhance the quality of life for Florida residents.
Sachs Media produced original research to identify public sentiment about municipal services, and then worked with the City of Tallahassee and video production partner Level Up Media to produce the various PSAs, which center on four main areas of service.
“We were thrilled to work with our friends at FLC on this challenging project,” said Michelle Ubben, President and Partner of Sachs Media. “Our ideas for this series were perfectly brought to life through the hard work of our team and the superb video craftsmen at Level Up Media. This series wouldn’t have been the same without their talent, paired with the help of Alison Faris of the City of Tallahassee, whose ideas and connections to key individuals in Tallahassee were invaluable.”
The PSA series, “Your Quality of Life – Brought to You by Your City,” reflected on four different areas of service that cities may provide: “Active” showcases parks, playing fields, pools, beach access, golf courses, and more; “Safe” highlights an assortment of emergency and safety services; “Inspired” displays public parks, concert and art venues, libraries, and more; and “Going” features some of the modes of city-sponsored public transportation.
About a decade ago, Sachs Media collaborated with the League of Cities to create the first “Your Quality of Life” PSA series, which won an Emmy award for its captivating storytelling. Sachs Media and FLC are excited about the success of this new, refreshed version of the PSA series, which differs greatly from the original with its fast pace and flow between scenes.
“Through our Breakthrough Research division, we discovered that 90% of Floridians who have used a city amenity say it enhanced their life,” said Ubben. “Showcasing these services is so necessary. City services bring the community together in a positive way, and it’s important to highlight the numerous benefits that local governments deliver to their residents.”
The PSA series will air on television and local access channels, on social media, and in city government centers around the state. They can also be seen at https://psa.flcities.com.
The survey of 350 Florida voters was representative by age, race, gender, and political affiliation, with a margin of error of +/- 5.5% at the 95% confidence level.
