Fruitland Park PD, FDLE arrest three suspects on murder charges

After a two-month investigation that crossed county lines, the Fruitland Park Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement secured arrest warrants for three suspects in the murder of Scott Behney, who was killed on April 10th in Fruitland Park, Lake County. The Toby Overdorf Campaign today announced the endorsement of Stuart City Commissioner Becky Bruner. Overdorf, a Republican, is running for the District 83 seat in the Florida House of Representatives, currently held by Gayle Harrell, who faces term limits this year. Gov. Scott Appoints Crystal Kinzel to the Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court

Governor Rick Scott today announced the appointment of Crystal Kinzel to the Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court. She will fill a vacancy created by the death of Dwight Brock, beginning June 20, 2018.

Kinzel, 62, of Naples, is the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court and received a business administration degree from George Washington University. She is appointed for a term beginning June 20, 2018, and ending November 13, 2018.

Public Meeting About S.R. 519/Fiske Boulevard Study

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public meeting about a concept development and evaluation study along a 4.2-mile section along State Road (S.R.) 519 (Fiske Boulevard) from County Road (C.R.) 502 (Barnes Boulevard)/Interstate 95 (I-95) northbound ramps to S.R. 520 (King Street). The meeting will be next Thursday, June 28, at the Rockledge City Hall from 6-7:30 p.m., and includes an informational looping presentation.
