The Florida Lottery introduces two new LOTERIA Scratch-Off games

The Florida Lottery is introducing two new LOTERIA Scratch-Off games that offer more than $155 million in total cash prizes. The games, LOTERIA™ GRANDE and LOTERIA™, go on sale today. All Lottery retailers are expected to have these new tickets in stock and available for purchase within 72 hours.

The $5 game, LOTERIA GRANDE, features 16 top prizes of $250,000, and more than five million winning tickets! Overall odds of winning are one-in-3.98. 

For just $2, players can win up to $30,000 with LOTERIA. There are more than 13 million winning tickets totaling over $82 million in cash prizes! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.50.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Florida Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 65 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $734 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2015-16.

Green Cove Springs man claims $1 million prize in $10,000,000 FORTUNE Scratch-Off game

The Florida Lottery announces that Danny Tippett, 69, of Green Cove Springs, claimed a $1 million prize in the $10,000,000 FORTUNE Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Tippett chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $792,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from Winn-Dixie, located at 1545 Country Road 220 in Orange Park.

The $25 Scratch-Off game, $10,000,000 FORTUNE, launched in February 2016, and features more than $623 million in total cash prizes, including 46 prizes of $1 million and four prizes of $10 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.88.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 65 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $734 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2015-16.

Florida Lottery's first CASH4LIFE winner claims $1 million prize

Fernandina Beach man wins big in new multi-state Draw game!

The Florida Lottery announces that Lawrence Albertie, 61, of Fernandina, claimed a $1 million prize in the new multi-state Draw game CASH4LIFE®. Albertie is Florida’s first CASH4LIFE winner.
“I usually pick up a Scratch-Off ticket when I stop for my morning coffee, but I decided to try my luck at something new,” said Albertie. “Something inside told me I was going to win, but I still can’t believe I’m Florida’s first CASH4LIFE winner!”
Albertie purchased his winning ticket from Flash Foods, located at 925-A South 14th Street in Fernandina Beach. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning CASH4LIFE ticket. Total ticket sales for CASH4LIFE have generated over $1.6 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
The Lottery added CASH4LIFE® to its portfolio of games beginning on Friday, February 17. This popular multi-state game offers two lifetime prizes, with the chance to win $1,000 a Day for Life or $1,000 a Week for Life.  Florida is the ninth state to join CASH4LIFE, and game sales are expected to raise millions of additional dollars for education in Florida, and increase commissions to the Lottery’s more than 13,000 retailers.
The next CASH4LIFE drawing will be held Thursday, March 16, at 9:00 p.m., ET in New Jersey Lottery Headquarters studio. Florida Lottery Scratch-Off sales exceed $100 million for second consecutive week

Over $19 Million in Total Education Contributions for the Week

For the second consecutive week, the Florida Lottery’s contributions to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) exceeded $19 million from Scratch-Off sales alone.  Total Scratch-Off sales for the week reached $103.23 million, with total sales overall hitting $141.28 million.  Additionally, this marks the second consecutive week in Florida Lottery history that Scratch-Off sales exceeded $100 million in a single week.
“The consistent Scratch-Off sales demonstrated by the Florida Lottery over the past two weeks are integral to our mission to generate as much revenue as possible towards public education,” said Secretary Tom Delacenserie. “The Lottery remains committed to providing Florida’s students with the opportunities they need to be successful in school and in life.”
Over the past 29 years, the Florida Lottery has established itself as a dependable funding source for public education. For 15 consecutive years the Lottery has transferred more than $1 billion to education, while remaining one of the most efficient lotteries in the nation. Additionally, the Lottery has contributed more than $5 billion to the Bright Futures Scholarship Program to send over 750,000 students to college.
Florida Lottery contributions represent approximately six percent of the state’s total education budget. Lottery funds are appropriated by the Florida Legislature and are administered by the Florida Department of Education.

Two players claim $1 million prizes playing new $10,000,000 WORLD CLASS CASH Scratch-Off game

The Florida Lottery announces that Vernon Dorsey, II, 58, of St. Cloud; and Joshua Reyes, 31, of Naples, each claimed a $1 million prize in the $10,000,000 WORLD CLASS CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Both winners chose to receive their winnings as a one- time, lump-sum payment of $748,000.00.
Dorsey purchased his winning ticket from Circle K, located at 613 13th Street in St. Cloud. Reyes purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 4860 Davis Boulevard in Naples.
The $25 game, $10,000,000 WORLD CLASS CASH, launched on February 28 and features more than $549 million in total cash prizes, including two top prizes of $10 million and 46 prizes of $1 million! Overall odds of winning are one-in-2.89.

Pensacola man claims $1 million Scratch-Off prize one day after celebrating his birthday

The Florida Lottery announces that Leslie Holtzclaw, of Pensacola, claimed a $1 million prize in the $5,000,000 FLAMINGO MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, just one day after celebrating his 52nd birthday.
Holtzclaw chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $716,577.60. He purchased his winning ticket from Six Kids Store Super Deli, located at 1023 Greenbrier Boulevard in Pensacola.
The $20 game, $5,000,000 FLAMINGO MULTIPLER, launched in September 2015 and features more than seven million winning tickets and more than $346 million in total cash prizes! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.97.

Jacksonville woman turns $5 into $500,000 playing Florida Lottery's GOLD RUSH Scratch-Off game

The Florida Lottery announces that Flora Demps, 46, of Jacksonville, claimed a top prize in the $500,000 GOLD RUSH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She purchased her winning ticket from Stop N Shop, located at 3625 Townsend Boulevard in Jacksonville.

The $5 Scratch-Off game, $500,000 GOLD RUSH, launched in January 2015. The game offers more than 7.5 million prizes ranging from $5 to $10,000 and top prizes of $500,000. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.23.

Florida Lottery sets new single week record for Scratch-Off contributions to education

The Florida Lottery today announced a new single week record of $19.44 million in contributions to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) from record Scratch-Off sales. This record $19.44 million in Scratch-Off contributions comprises more than 57% of the Lottery’s total $34 million in education contributions for the week.
“Strong Scratch-Off sales like the ones the Florida Lottery demonstrated this past week are critical to our mission to maximize revenue for education,” said Secretary Tom Delacenserie. “Thanks to the revenue generated by Scratch-Off sales, the Lottery is able to provide more opportunities for Florida’s students to receive the best possible education.”

The Florida Lottery announces that Kaswanna Bean, 29, of Boynton Beach, claimed a $1 million prize in the $5,000,000 GOLD RUSH DOUBLER Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $745,000.00.
“This all feels like a dream,” said Bean. “I have to keep pinching myself to make sure this is actually happening!”
Bean purchased her winning ticket from Express Food & Beverage, located at 103 East Boynton Beach Boulevard in Boynton Beach. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The Florida Lottery announces that Edward Mahoney, of Fort Lauderdale, claimed a top prize in the $5,000,000 GOLD RUSH DOUBLER Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,725,000.
Mahoney purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 3400 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
