U.S. 27 at Weston Hills/Holly Grove Boulevard Improvements Public Hearing

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing regarding plans to improve safety along U.S. 27 at the intersection of Weston Hills Boulevard/Holly Grove Boulevard. The project addresses operational and safety concerns by converting the existing full median to a bi-directional median. This type of median guides traffic to its own dedicated turn lane instead of two directions of traffic trying to share the same turn lane. See graphic below. Tupperware Station Community Train Tour Event this Saturday

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., as the SunRail train tour pulls in to the Tupperware Station located at 3205 Orange Ave., Kissimmee. It’s expected to be a big draw. The last open house at the Poinciana Station in May drew an estimated 2,500 people. New service is scheduled to open later this summer, and the train tours provide prospective riders with a taste of what SunRail offers, including information about its 17-mile southern expansion. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing on proposed improvements along State Road (S.R.) 15/600 (U.S. 17/92) from north of Lake Mary Boulevard to north of Airport Boulevard, which includes intersection improvements at Airport Boulevard. The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) today was awarded $32.389 million in federal funding to continue its deep draft navigation project.
