The University of Tampa Sets Another Enrollment Record

For the 22nd consecutive year, The University of Tampa has set another enrollment record. This year’s total enrollment — including graduates and undergraduates — is 9,304 — up 4 percent from last year’s total of 8,913. Anti-Human Trafficking Summit

Governor Rick Scott today spoke at the sixth annual Anti-Human Trafficking Summit in Orlando. Governor Scott highlighted $6.2 million in new funding in this year’s budget to provide services for victims of human trafficking, as well as the seven pieces of legislation he has signed since 2012 which help fight this horrific crime by establishing harsher penalties for human traffickers and providing enhanced services for survivors. FDLE arrests suspects for grand theft, conspiracy

FDLE agents have requested warrants for the arrest of Roland Hartridge Lee, 38, formerly of 32451 Eaglewoods Trail, Sanford, and Juan Jose Sapeg, 37, formerly of 9906 River Crest Court, Orlando, on grand theft and conspiracy to commit grand theft. RoadWatch Advisory for SR 64 at Greyhawk Boulevard in Manatee County

SR 64 at Greyhawk Boulevard/Pope Boulevard:  Construction project: Crews are constructing an interim improvement at the intersection of SR 64 and Greyhawk Boulevard/Pope Road with a continued focus on safety. The interim improvement consists of temporarily closing the left turn from westbound SR 64 onto Pope Road.   The contractor is Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, Inc.

On Monday, October 1 and Tuesday, October 2, during daytime and nighttime hours, motorists should expect the inside eastbound and westbound lanes closed at the intersection. Motorists should also expect the eastbound to northbound left-turn closed during the work on this project. Drivers should use caution while crews work in the intersection.
