in Enriquez’s ability to be a strong voice in Tallahassee

The Javier Enriquez Campaign today announced the endorsement of Senator Marco Rubio. Enriquez, a Republican, is running for the Florida House in District 114. Rubio’s endorsement comes closely on the heels of support for Enriquez from former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, both of whom endorsed Enriquez last week. Democratic Nominee for Attorney General, Sean Shaw released a new campaign ad today, entitled “Your Side”. Shaw is a fighter who will stand up to the gun lobby and sexual predators. In contrast, Republican Nominee Ashley Moody wants to take away health care for Floridians with pre-existing conditions – like cancer or diabetes. League & Partners Warn Against Passage of Amendment 5

On Tuesday the League of Women Voters of Florida held a press call with partners discussing the disastrous effects Amendment 5 would have on Florida’s education system were it to pass. Amendment 5 was placed on the ballot by the Florida Legislature and would require a two-thirds supermajority vote of the Legislature to raise any state taxes or fees.
