Drivers traveling southbound on U.S. 17/92 to eastbound Lake Mary Boulevard are advised of scheduled detours this weekend, dependent on weather or other unforeseen conditions. Traffic Advisory: Detours for Railroad Crossing Work at S.R. 442/Indian River Blvd.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing project support to Florida East Coast Railway, LLC., so they can conduct surface reconstruction work at the S.R. 442/Indian River Boulevard railroad crossing. Motorists traveling on Indian River Boulevard will encounter detours beginning at about 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 15, through about 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18. I-4 Nighttime Closures and Detours Next Week

Bridge construction activities will require nighttime closures and detours of Interstate 4 (I-4)/State Road 400/Beville Road in the eastbound direction Tuesday night and in both directions Wednesday night, with Thursday night as a backup. The closures will occur near the Interstate 95 interchange.

Detours will be well marked. Travelers are advised to slow down, and follow the detour signs through construction zones. Posted detours are:

  • I-4 eastbound to State Road 400 (Beville Road) traffic: Take I-4 exit 129 towards U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard) to I-95 southbound to exit 260A towards State Road 400 (Beville Road)
  • I-4 eastbound to I-95 southbound traffic: Take I-4 exit 129 towards U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard) to I-95 southbound
  • State Road 400 (Beville Road) westbound to I-4 westbound traffic: Take I-95 northbound to exit 260C towards U.S. 92 (International Speedway) to I-4 westbound
  • I-4 exit 132A towards I-95 northbound will remain open

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances, and if this happens, the closures may be rescheduled.

I-4 and I-95 Ramp Closures and Detours in Seminole, Volusia Counties

Drivers are advised of upcoming nighttime ramp closures with detours on Interstate 4 (I-4) at County Road (C.R.) 46A in Seminole County and Interstate 95 (I-95) at U.S. 1 in Volusia County.

Monday through Thursday from about 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the C.R. 46A exit ramp from the I-4 westbound collector distributor road will be closed to accommodate guardrail installation. Traffic will be directed to stay on I-4 westbound to Lake Mary Boulevard and access I-4 eastbound to the C.R. 46A exit.

Ramp closures on I-95 at the U.S. 1 interchange (Exit 273) in northern Volusia County also are scheduled early next week; and, will affect the I-95 northbound off ramp to U.S. 1 and the I-95 southbound on ramp from U.S. 1. Each ramp will be closed one night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow workers to install bases for new interchange lighting. Traffic will be detoured using Old Dixie Highway (Exit 278).

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances. Electronic message boards will be used to alert motorists to lane closures and detours, and updates will be available on the FDOT’s Central Florida website CFLRoads.com.
