Mobility Week gets underway this weekend with a White Cane/Pedestrian Safety Awareness event hosted by a coalition of organizations, which aims to educate drivers, and others, about pedestrian safety laws; specifically, about the White Cane Law that requires drivers to come to a complete stop for pedestrians with a white cane, guide dog or mobility aid. One Eastbound Lane closed on PGA Blvd over Florida’s Turnpike

On Sunday, October 21, a Ranger Construction subcontractor, doing work on Florida’s Turnpike, struck the outside concrete beam on the PGA Boulevard Bridge over Florida’s Turnpike at MP 109. Because of this hit, a portion of the Turnpike’s northbound auxiliary lane to PGA Boulevard and the outside eastbound lane of PGA Boulevard over the bridge are closed.
