I-4 and I-95 Ramp Closures and Detours in Seminole, Volusia Counties
Drivers are advised of upcoming nighttime ramp closures with detours on Interstate 4 (I-4) at County Road (C.R.) 46A in Seminole County and Interstate 95 (I-95) at U.S. 1 in Volusia County.
Monday through Thursday from about 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the C.R. 46A exit ramp from the I-4 westbound collector distributor road will be closed to accommodate guardrail installation. Traffic will be directed to stay on I-4 westbound to Lake Mary Boulevard and access I-4 eastbound to the C.R. 46A exit.
Ramp closures on I-95 at the U.S. 1 interchange (Exit 273) in northern Volusia County also are scheduled early next week; and, will affect the I-95 northbound off ramp to U.S. 1 and the I-95 southbound on ramp from U.S. 1. Each ramp will be closed one night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow workers to install bases for new interchange lighting. Traffic will be detoured using Old Dixie Highway (Exit 278).
Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances. Electronic message boards will be used to alert motorists to lane closures and detours, and updates will be available on the FDOT’s Central Florida website CFLRoads.com.

I-75 Kings Highway Ramp Closures

CHARLOTTE/SARASOTA COUNTIES
I-75 from south of Harborview Road (mile marker 167) to Sumter Boulevard (mile marker 182): Construction project: This project widens the road from four to six lanes and adds a 12-foot travel lane and 10-foot shoulder to the inside of existing northbound and southbound I-75.
- Motorists should expect lane closures on I-75 during nighttime/overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the duration of the construction.
- Motorists should also expect periodic travel lane shifts through the duration of construction.
- Motorists should expect the outside northbound lane on the bridge over the Peace River closed through the duration of the project.
- Kings Highway on-ramp to I-75 northbound will be closed during nighttime/overnight from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, Monday, May 1, and Tuesday, May 2.
- Kings Highway on-ramp to I-75 southbound will be closed during nighttime/overnight from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3 and Thursday, May 4.
Variable message signs will be in place to alert drivers that work is underway. Drivers should use caution while traveling in this area. Estimated completion is end of 2017. The contractor is Astaldi Construction Corporation.
Ramp Closures at US 1 and State Road 405
Nighttime ramp closures are scheduled for State Road (S.R.) 405/ Columbia Boulevard/ NASA Causeway and U.S. 1 from Monday, March 6 through Wednesday, March 15. The closures will take place nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and will allow the contractor, Ranger Construction, Inc., to construct asphalt transitions to the recently paved U.S. 1 roadway.
The repair is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s milling and resurfacing of U.S. 1 from north of Golden Knights Boulevard to south of S.R. 50.
Nighttime ramp detours are as follows:
Monday, March 6
Eastbound S.R. 405 to southbound U.S. 1
Detour: Continue east on S.R. 405 to northbound US 1 exit. Continue on northbound US 1 to median opening. Follow signage to make a u-turn, and continue southbound on U.S.
Tuesday, March 7
Southbound U.S. 1 westbound S.R. 405
Detour: Continue south on U.S. 1 to median opening. Follow signage to make a u-turn, continuing northbound to the entry ramp .to westbound S.R. 405.
Wednesday, March 8
Westbound S.R. 405 to southbound U.S. 1
Detour: Continue west on S.R. 405 to median opening. Follow signage to make a u-turn, continuing eastbound to the exit ramp to southbound U.S.1.
Thursday, March 9
Southbound U.S. 1 to eastbound S.R. 405
Detour: Continue south on U.S. 1 past interchange to median opening. Follow signage to make a u-turn, continuing northbound to the eastbound S.R. 405 entry ramp.
Sunday, March 12
Northbound U.S. 1 to eastbound S.R. 405
Detour: Continue north on U.S. 1 past interchange to median opening. Follow signage to make a u-turn, continuing southbound to the eastbound S.R. 405 entry ramp.
