Public Workshop to be held Thursday, August 2, 2018

U.S. 92 Closures Scheduled for Tonight in Daytona

Both directions of U.S. 92 will be closed tonight night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. as will the Interstate 4 (I-4) eastbound to Interstate 95 (I-95) southbound ramp for work activities. No detours are scheduled July 4-7 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Detours will be well marked. Travelers are advised to slow down, and follow the detour signs through construction zones. Posted detours are:

I-4 eastbound to I-95 southbound ramp closure

  • Take I-4 exit 129 towards U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard)

U.S. 92 closure

  • I-95 southbound to U.S. 92 eastbound: Take exit 260A towards State Road 400 (Beville Road) to Williamson Boulevard
  • U.S. 92 eastbound traffic: Take Tomoka Farms Road, Bellevue Avenue, Williamson Boulevard
  • I-95 northbound to U.S. 92 westbound and U.S. 92 westbound traffic: Take Williamson Boulevard, Bellevue Avenue, Tomoka Farms Road

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances, and if this happens, the closures may be rescheduled.

This Saturday’s Kissimmee Train Tour is a Nighttime Event

SunRail train tours wrap up this weekend with one final open house before new service starts the end of July. It’s happening Saturday, June 30 at the downtown Kissimmee SunRail/Amtrak Station at 320 Pleasant Street. Tolls Waived on State Road (S.R.) 417 in Seminole County

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is announcing that tolls are being suspended on the Seminole County section S.R. 417, which extends from Interstate 4 (I-4) to Aloma Avenue at the Orange County line. This is to assist travelers who are trying to avoid major traffic congestion due to a natural gas leak, which has closed a section of I-4 in both directions in Seminole County, near S.R. 436 in Altamonte Springs. FDOT is urging drivers to avoid the area or seek alternate routes, including S.R. 417 in Seminole County.

Public Meeting About S.R. 519/Fiske Boulevard Study

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public meeting about a concept development and evaluation study along a 4.2-mile section along State Road (S.R.) 519 (Fiske Boulevard) from County Road (C.R.) 502 (Barnes Boulevard)/Interstate 95 (I-95) northbound ramps to S.R. 520 (King Street). The meeting will be next Thursday, June 28, at the Rockledge City Hall from 6-7:30 p.m., and includes an informational looping presentation.
