The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing project support to Florida East Coast Railway, LLC., so they can conduct surface reconstruction work at the S.R. 442/Indian River Boulevard railroad crossing. To complete demolition of a recently replaced overpass near Florida’s Turnpike, I-4 Ultimate crews will be diverting traffic off westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on July 13, 16, 17 and 18.
Motorists will exit westbound I-4 at Conroy Road (Exit 78) and use either Vineland Road or Conroy Road to reenter westbound I-4 at the Kirkman Road (State Road 435) interchange.
In addition to diverting westbound I-4 traffic the exit ramps to Florida’s Turnpike (Exit 77) and northbound (75B) and southbound (75A) Kirkman Road (State Road 435), and the on-ramps from Conroy Road and Florida’s Turnpike will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the nights of July 12–13, 15–16, 16–17 and 17–18.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
The I-4 Ultimate project is rebuilding 21 miles of Interstate 4 (I-4) from west of Kirkman Road in Orange County to east of State Road 434 in Seminole County, adding two new dynamic tolled Express Lanes in each direction, replacing more than 140 bridges, reconfiguring 15 major interchanges and reconstructing the entire roadway.
Drivers traveling eastbound on State Road (S.R.) 44/New York Avenue in downtown DeLand can expect a weekend detour to accommodate concrete repair work at Amelia Avenue. Both directions of U.S. 92 will be closed tonight night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. as will the Interstate 4 (I-4) eastbound to Interstate 95 (I-95) southbound ramp for work activities. No detours are scheduled July 4-7 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Detours will be well marked. Travelers are advised to slow down, and follow the detour signs through construction zones. Posted detours are:
I-4 eastbound to I-95 southbound ramp closure
U.S. 92 closure
Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances, and if this happens, the closures may be rescheduled.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is announcing that tolls are being suspended on the Seminole County section S.R. 417, which extends from Interstate 4 (I-4) to Aloma Avenue at the Orange County line. This is to assist travelers who are trying to avoid major traffic congestion due to a natural gas leak, which has closed a section of I-4 in both directions in Seminole County, near S.R. 436 in Altamonte Springs. FDOT is urging drivers to avoid the area or seek alternate routes, including S.R. 417 in Seminole County.
